How to use copper tones in your interior design

Whether you choose to decorate a single wall in copper toned paint or just add a carefully chosen statement accessory you will bring a distinctive and dramatic flair to any room with nothing more needed.

The Dulux trends forecasting panel (ColourFutures) has nominated ‘Copper Blush’ as the overriding colour for 2015.  Copper tones add a warm Mediterranean atmosphere and reflect natural light, making it feel like summer all year round.

A great way to make coppery shades really stand out is to contrast accessories with neutral colours of taupe, grey, cream and white.

Woods, neutral fabrics and accessories are perfect for accessorising in a room where copper is part of the colour palette. The effect can be warm and rustic or when balanced with plenty of cool white, calm and contemporary.

Mix and match your metallics. Silvers, golds and coppers create maximum impact when used together.
